Joseph,

You don't need a + in front of that IP address in the masters file,
this is a syntax used in the loggers file. The masters contains only
 plain IP addresses.

What I'd try is to see if you can fetch a security policy from the
management server when you are logged in to the module (fw fetch 10.35.1.1)
... if that fails you most probably will have to redo the putkey stuff.

Met vriendelijke groeten - Bien vous - Kind regards

Subject: [FW-1] logging to a mgt console

Hello All

I'm new to the Nokia/Checkpoint equipment. We have several FWs sending logs
to our mgt console. I'm trying to get a new nokia ip530 to report its log
activity to our management console, and it doesn't seem to be sending any
log info (what I can see from the [log view])
        In the file
                 $FWDIR/conf/masters
+10.35.1.1 (address of the mgt console)
there is a 'plus' sign to allow logging.

I'm not sure what I am missing. I'm currently browsing checkpoint's
secureKnowledge dbase for info.
