You can actually enable Linux for VRRP.  You'll have to recompile your Kernel I believe.  Just do a search in Google for "Linux VRRP".

        Now for RedHat linux what if anything exists to enable one to have two machines running checkpoint in HA on RedHat as if it was two Nokia boxes
