Hey folks, I could use some help, I think there is a boo boo in my Armoring Solaris II paper on FW-1 NG, but I'm not sure. When NG does an install on Solaris, where does it install the configs and logs? Is it
/var/opt/CKPfw-50 /var/opt/CPfw-50 Or some other directory? I've been playing with my file systems and now have totally forgotten. Help appreciated as I want to be sure my partitioning is correct. By the way, some of you may have problems installing the latest Recommended Patch cluster for Solaris, complanining it requires SUNWhea to patch the system. SUNWhea is a the headers file package, used for compiling and normally comes with the Developer installation (which you do NOT want for firewalls). I'm not sure why this requirement would happen, I'm assuming future releases of the Recommended Patch cluster will not have this requirement.
