I have a client that is attempting to do a static NAT for a couple of devices. The first one that we try does not work and I can't determine what is wrong.
The client has a private network of 10.x.x.x subnet mask 255.255.0.0. I have set up the firewall to hide all of the addresses to the 0.0.0.0 address (defaults to the FW legal address). The one I want to static I set up as static and set to b.b.b.b. I can ping the firewall legal address but I am unable to ping the b.b.b.b address (it is the FW address + 1). I made sure that Global Properties has the Automatic NAT address translation boxes checked (all 3). If I try to go out using the PC I can see the traffic is accepted (via log entries and it has the correct translated static address) but nothing comes back.
What is wrong???
Thanks,
Curt Miller
