The package may have gone in wrong for whatever reason. Remove the package and reinstall it and that might resolve your problem. I have had this error show up despite having the correct entries in the host table.
I always seem to have this problems when installing NG from the command line (for reasons I can not fathom). When I install NG from Voyager, I never get this error.
