Check the config of your interface speeds and make sure they are auto negotiated or fixed on *both* sides. On my system this was the cause of the slow logviewer (and FTP problems)

Okay,

some more summary:

Logfiles are being switched nightly.

Size is not greater than 20 megs.

Name resolution is off.

Machine is only mgmt station in separate mgmt net.

Any ideas?
