This is nothing to do with firewalls, it's a solaris admin question. The command you want is 'ifconfig hme1 plumb', but I would seriously recommend you go on a Solaris Admin course or get a Solaris Admin book if you are going to run a firewall on Solaris. Using the manual pages (man ifconfig) would also help.
