Sounds like CP/SR is playing with the GINA.. Windows uses GINA.dll to log in, Novell client uses NWGINA.. if you're only getting the windows login, NWGINA is not being run for some reason. I think it's under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/microsoft.windowsNT/CurrentVersion/Winlogon There's a GinaDLL key which IIRC is the correct one. The one on the machine I'm on at the moment is ng becuase PCA changes this value too.. (Gina is popular!)
