As far as I know (haven't played with DirectTv but many, many others) it has been my experience that you cannot tunnel (VPN) through a tunnel. The reason you cannot bind TcP/Ip is because it is already bound (VPN like) tunnel already created by the Satellite signal. I will be watching out for RE: on this one as I am still searching for VPN solutions for our remote people.
