Did you do a S65inet stop? You need to restart that.. it is the daemon that listens on ports needed for telnet, etc...
COnsole to the box and do a S65inet start, or just reboot the machine Scott J. I got disconnected from my solaris CP fw (telnet session) after running /etc/rc2.d/S64inet? May I know what is the purpose of the file. How to make myself reconnect back. I am in the process for migrating my firewall from firewall A to firewall B. I make them exact the same in term of network structure. But after migrating, I found they can't connect to some part of the network. I feel very strange as they are all identical. Eventually, I found the firewall A has the in.routed daemon running but firewall B not. With in.routed daemon, it might extra routing table from the router. I check thru the /etc/rc.x script and found S65inet did control the in.routed daemon and I run it manually with ./S65inet but got disconnected after it. Can anyone explain this??? _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
