Checkpoint now do a central licensing scheme certainly for distributed
installations. This is by far better as you license your management station
ip and then all modules relate to that , so if your external ip address
changes it doesn't matter

Subject: [FW-1] License on either an external or internal Interface?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if I am licensing an interface on Checkpoint Firewall-1
products, which interface is recommended for putting CheckPoint License?
External or Internal interface?
What is the difference between licensing on external interface and licensing
on internal interface?
Any advantage or disadvantage?

Please advise.

Regards,
William
