I had a Checkpoint tech tell me not to use fwparp.exe. He said that it could
cause more problems, which it did. This was a little while ago, so things
may have changed. Just heads up. I believe that we used local.arp and it
worked with 2000. We have since moved back to nt 4.0 so I can't tell you for
sure.

Local.arp not running in Windows 2000. To public a MAC in Windows 2000
you need fwparp.exe

I was wondering if local.arp is still needing if running on a Windows
2000 Advanced Server and Checkpoint FW-1 NG?

I always thought the reason for this was a Microsoft problem, so maybe
Windows 2000 fixed it...
