Hello everybody,
We are installing 2 machines with Firewall-1 and Cluster XL and we have a strange problem here.
The machines are IBM servers, with 8 interfaces, 5 of them used in the cluster, 1 checkpoint management, 1 machines management, 1 unused
machines are installed with redhat linux 7.2
firewall-1 is NG FP2
things happen this way:
-for 2 out of 5 clusterized interfaces
-if you disconnect the utp cable in interface X on active firewall, instantly interface X on the standby firewall (as shown by cphaprob -i if ) apears as down
cphaprob stat shows:
fw1 active (before disconnection: active)
fw2 down (before disconnection: standby)
a tcpdump on the (down) interface show lots of activity :-)
-if the interface is shutdown by software (ifconfig eth1 down), clustering works just fine ( fw1 becomes down, fw2 becomes active)
Anybody had this problem before ?
Anybody can give me a hint on troubleshooting this?
All the best,
