Helge,

We tried the other day to move our Management Server from a Wnt 4
box to a W2k box, as that manages about 8 Firewalls it was important
to keep everything. We first tried what CP Knowledgebase suggests but
that failed, we then tried it our own way ... and it works, the new
management server is up and running since last week without any
problems till now. What we did is simply install the box from scratch
with NG FP2, copy over the complete $FWDIR/conf directory then reset
the CA and SIC stuff completely.

Met vriendelijke groeten - Bien vous - Kind regards

Subject: [FW-1] Reinstalling NT and NG FP2

Hello,

I need to "freshen" up my management station / enforcement module.
Is it possible reinstall SVN Foundation and FW1 without loosing any of
the original settings?
It manages 2 other nodes in addition to itself and runs on W2K SP2.

Any "bulletprof" suggestions?

Thanks,
Helge
