Thanks a lot,

I checked everything, plugged a hub to test the management from an other
station. Nothing and same message in the other station.

I suspected the installation to have a problem

- A file was asked by the installation procedure on a disk 2, but no disk 2. I
suspect this file was missing (layout.bin), because I cancelled the first time.
Same problem in the new installation, but after browsing to the file on the CD,
the installation could be completed.
- In fact there was a licence problem that was solved AFTER installation by
addind a licence. This could also have blocked the Firewall.
- The FQDN may also be the problem.

A new instalation works with no problem ! May be this can help other.

Now I am going to transfer the parameters of an old 4.1 to my new FP3.

Any precious tip welcome. I have the procedure from Checkpoint technical Site.
Anybody tried ?

regards all.
