Dear All, Check Point version : NG FP2 Check Point Gateway OS: Windows 2000 server SP2 SecureClient OS: Windows 98 , Windows 98 SE SecureClient version: NG FP2 build 52057, Transparent Mode ( not OfficeMode)
Scenario: 1. SecureClient dial-up to ISP and use SecureClient connect to the Check Point Firewall. 2. SecureClient able to authenticated by the firewall successfully 3. While SecureClient click to logon to the policy server after authenticated, it's wait for around 10 seconds and error message occured "failed to communicate with Policy Server fw1-kls at site 202.186.209.2" Note: This is only happening on Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, and Windows ME. No problem while using Windows 2000 Pro, and Windows 2000 Server. It can logon to policy server and downloaded the desktop security policy. If Windows 2000 able to login to the policy server, then I believe that the Check Point configuration is okey, what do u think? Log Viewer only show the authentication log and accept. It doesn't show while SecureClient logon to the policy server. I have tried on SecureRemote NG FP2 instead of SecureClient NG FP2 and it's working fine (which means the SecureRemote able to authenticated by firewall). The first phase of the authentication is working fine, only the second phase which is logon to policy server ( SecureClient). Please advise. Thank you and regards.
