Robert,

Yes, my suggestion is to recreate new objects to avoid any uncertainty.

Subject: [FW-1] FW-1 Upgrade

We are running FW-1 4.0 SP8. I want to upgrade to NG and I'm also
replacing
the existing server with new hardware. My current security policy has 12
rules and the same number of network objects. Would I be better off just
installing NG on the new server and manually recreating the policy and
objects? I also figure if I run into any problems I can fall back to the
old
server. Probably a dumb question but I figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks.

Robert
