Hello,

Q1)

Yes you need a special license. In case of NG you need an CPMP-OSE.

Open Security Extension - OSE manages packet filters and access lists of third-party
routers and security devices

Q2)

Reject will send an explicit packet to the source so it knows the connection is
rejected, while a DROP will not send a packet to the source.

Q3)

You could create an object which has ip 255.255.255.255 and use this object to drop
but dont log the packets.

Regards,

Werner

Subject: [FW-1] No license to manage the router?

Hi.. Friends,

Q1)When I used the Checkpoint GUI to manage my cisco router (after putting
in the community name), but when I want to install, it prompt me "routers:
No license". Why??? What kind of license I need?

Yes you need a license.

Q2)What is the difference between these ACTION OPTION "Reject" and "Drop"?

Q3)I always see my log entires like these "100.100.100.100 (source),
255.255.255.255 (destination)" it is the broadcast. How do I define these
rule in the GUI? as I don't want it to be logged.

Thanks a lot
