Seems definitely related to multi processing. Strictly speaking the release notes for FP3 mention 2.18-5 as as supported kernel not 2.18-5smp. The only way, I feel, is to ask Checkpoint whether FP3 can be used on that kernel and/or in that hardware configuration.
