what version of DS? eDir 8.7 s/b fully LDAP compatible. (so says the lit!) This would be the version you'd get with NW6. You could also upgrade NDS/eDir on 5.x if necc. You have to configure one (or more) of the Novell servers as an LDAP server also. I think there are some recent posts in the archives about this as well, to the effect that it works but there are a few kinks in the naming convention etc. I have just set up LDAP on one of my servers but have not interfaced it with anything yet so I unfortunately can't give you any 1st person reports..
>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 12/10/02 05:51AM >>> hello mailinglist, anybody out there running checkpoint with edirectory ? we want to switch from iplanet to novell, and we want to setup a lab. Checkpoint inlcudes some files in $FWDIR/lib/ldap, but this is only for iPlanet / M$ ADS. (?) although the gui (LDAP account unit properties) has a LDAP-server profile called "Novell_DS", the user-management guide only mentions M$ and iPlanet. the checkpoint-kb features an article about that topic, sk15765. any hints on that topic ? ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
