Dear list! After trying sofaware for a while some users we're now experiencing some problems. The problems are not present all the time. It works better for some users than others and it works for all on some occations. We thought for a while that it was the ISP, but all communication ports used _are_ open. After doing some packet capturing it seems that starting a sofaware vpn first opens two tcp 264 connections (fw1_topo), it then performs an authentication on tcp 500 and vpn trafic travels on udp 2746. A normal secureclient session is using only tcp (or udp) 500 and udp 2746 and we're having no problems using vpn with securemote and secureclient. We're using secureclient with office mode and securemote with NAT. Most of our users are behind NAT gateways (adsl).
We have no users at the firewall, all authentication is done with a radius server. fwd.elg has some error messages: [FWD 123]@ourfw kmsg_handle_local: 2 records handled [FWD 123]@ourfw SwTryToUnlink : d:\FW1\NG\database\\CrlCache.NDB0 [FWD 123]@ourfw SwTryToUnlink : failed for d:\FW1\NG\database\\CrlCache.NDB These messages are repeated many times and I don't know if it's related to our problem.
