Greetings, I was hoping for some assistance with Secure Domain Logon interactions and Windows XP
Brief Enviro data: Windows XP SP1, SecureClient NG FP3 (b53333), FW-1 NG FP1 We are using IP Pool NAT, Connect Mode, and Office Mode - That all works fine... Being a primarily Win2k/XP shop, we use Group Policy for deployment of applications and general management of PCs, and again this works well. The problems start when we try enabling Secure Domain Logon: The NETLOGON service gets set to Manual start, NTP stops time syncing, all Group Policy deployed settings and applications are de-installed, along with sundry other oddities. Obscurely, client login seems to work perfectly; Login scripts run, roaming profiles are downloaded, and un-cached users can log in without any hassles. Not much good when they have no apps to run though... Disabling SDL results in all application being re-installed. Client login then doesn't work over the VPN properly however... This occurs irrespective of PC location i.e. on the local LAN or on the end of a DSL link. Any assistance or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks & Regards, Robin. --- ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
