The SMC7004ABR is a totally different model.  Those are just plain Broadband routers that do NAT.  The one that I am talking about SMC7004FW is a unit that will handle the VPN tunnel on its own without the need for SecuRemote (As I understand it though).  The ABR units still need you to install SR onto your computer behind the router, whereas the FW unit handles everything on its own.

Hi,

I have used an SMC7004BRA to do exactly the same thing with
SecureClient, the UDP 500 incoming connection needs to be defined as a
static option rather than as a trigger.
