While trying to merge a standalone firewall's settings into an existing management server we've encountered some problems. The management server is FP3 and the existing modules are FP3 too. The standalone firewall is 4.1, but is going to be upgraded to FP3 (on SecurePlatform) in this process. I tried to upgrade each of the config files. But "fw confmerge" on NG is not working as it used to. On 3.0-4.1 it was possible to use "fw confmerge" to merge two objects.C files (CP solution id=36.0.325152.2480518). On NG this is not possible (objects_5_0.C files on NG). I can only get the objects from one of the files available to the management server. And if I run a "fwm checkobj" after trying to merge these files I get a Dr Watson message (The management server is w2kSP3).
I also ran an upgrade on the old ruleset and tried to merge the upgraded files into the management, but to no help. Anyone else encountered this?
