For the Management behind NAT problem, there is a work-around.

Create an object of type Check Point.  Use the NAT address for the
Management Console.  Check off SVN Foundation and Log Server - that's
it.  Don't do anything with SIC.

On your remote FW objects, set them to use this new object as their log
server, rather than the Management Console.

Yes, it sounds completely goofy, but yes, it actually works.
