We use the Novell ICS solution and I must say that we are very happy with it. Gives no trouble at all and we push around 6000 users through a single gateway! -- Richard Ellerbrock [EMAIL PROTECTED] >>> "Carric Dooley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2000/05/17 08:53:42 >>> Netscape has a product called "Command Center" that allows you to change browser settings on the fly for your users, or you CAN just dump in something like Novell's ICS (or another transparent capable proxy that runs on port 80) which would require NO client changes. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Ellerbrock" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, May 17, 2000 11:12 AM Subject: RE: [FW1] How to redirect http-trafic to a proxy-server? > > This is assuming that the entire world runs on MS crap? > > -- > Richard Ellerbrock > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > >>> Scott Schindler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2000/05/17 04:32:27 >>> > > Actually there are many ways to do this and if you want your users to use a > 3rd party proxy, ms or netscape, you can change all of there settings in > multiple ways. > > SMS was mentioned, but is overkill.
