Well I don't know what a sinthetic difference table is, but... Cisco and Nokia both support one management interface. Cisco is 2 to 3 times as expensive and DOES NOT offer better security. Cisco can however support Gigabit throughput which the Nokia cannot as of yet, but a SPARC FW-1 solution can. It will be easier and cheaper to higher someone that knows nokia and FW-1 and this pattern will continue, especially when CP releases their new NOKIA class and you no longer have to depend on NOKIA for training. Studies have estimated that 80% of firewalls will be integrated hardware devices by 2003, of which NOKIA leads that race of non-proprietary solutions. Nokia does support IGRP if you are concerned about route updates. You can continue to come to this mailing list to get FW-1 assistance after you get the NOKIA solution, but most of us probably can't help you with PIX, but some can. Some of the doubts I have: Do both offer the enterprise solution==> One management from which i run more firewall module Opsec fetures supported by both Sinthetic difference table Major issues and pros of each.
