Delete the variables complained about in /etc/default/init file and
reboot the system. That worked for me.

Subject: FW: [FW1] Wind/U Warning (270)
Hi All,
I have installed a clean Solaris 2.6 and FW-1 4.0 on my new box. When
trying to start any of the FW windows on the box (ie: fwstatus, fwlog,
fwpolicy) I get the following error:
Wind/U Warning (270): Individual setting of locale environment
variables unsupported (LC_CTYPE); set LANG instead
Wind/U Warning (270): Individual setting of locale environment
variables unsupported (LC_NUMERIC); set LANG instead
Wind/U Warning (270): Individual setting of locale environment
variables unsupported (LC_TIME); set LANG instead
I've looked at the FW archive messages and found at least 3 which
stated the exact same problem. However, none ever told what the
solution was...
On my Solaris 2.5 box with FW-1 3.0b, LANG is " " and the other
variables are set to "C". On my new install, there were set to
"en_US". I changed them to be the same as on the old box but it didn't
make a difference (as well as a couple of other combinations). Anyone
out there solve this?
Thanks in advance,
Tracy A. Maxi
