Hi Steve,

though I�m running on SuSE Linux 6.3 (Kernel 2.2.13) maybe my experience can
help you to determine the Problem.

FW-1 (41603) is running on Intel Motherboard L440GX+ (Dual-Pentium) with 2
PIII/500 and Adaptec-SCSI (on board).

Except for minor problems at boot time (fw1boot script) it�s working with a
SMP kernel.

Do you both get these kernel panics with a standard kernel (with Redhat)?
