Hi Marty,
I'm using the Firewall Switching Agent with 4800s. The only real difference
is the size of the switch....
One of the 4800s is connected to an NT box with a single NIC. There are no
real problems with this setup. Network wise, it only has the default route,
which points to the IP address of the ESX port it plugs into.
I assume the sun would be the same, default route to the switch, and ip
forwarding enabled.
Things I had to do included increasing the connection table (see phoneboy
faqs or mail me) and making sure the card was in full duplex mode. Other
than that, it was pretty standard.
I had the same problems with Fore support, but my savior was my local SE,
he has been able to get things fixed quickly.
