If you want to see what files it creates from scratch, before copying files(below),
just launch and login. Then look into the GUI directory and see whats new!
You need to copy $FWDIR/conf/objects.C to your local PC's GUI directory as objects.fws
& $FWDIR/conf/rulebases.fws as rules.fws. You can also copy fwauth.NDB* to
?users?.fws for a
copy of the user database(sorry not sure on this yet -OK haven't tried it yet.)
Drum roll please...Then run the GUI, using *local as the management station and pick
whatever you want for a username and password.
Best of Luck!

I think this is buried somewhere in phoneboy, but I could not
find it.
I would like to have a copy of my firewall rulebase on my
Win95 GUI client. I want the chance to review the rulebase
and objects offline with the FW-1 Client GUI. I thought I
saw a hack were you could take the objects.C file and rulebase
offline, install them on your client, and view them offline.
Any HOWTO on this one?
Thanks
