Hi All,

The situation:
We have remote users running SecuRemote v4.1 bld 4153 on 9x,
and VPN-1 v4.0 sp#5 on NT. We connect perfectly to the
internal network and run email, web, accounting etc.. applications
except on that requires a mapped drive to run and responds via
computer name back to the SecuRemote user.

The Problem:
The mapped drive works fine using a SecuRemote connection allowing
the nessecary applications ports and NBT. We then go into the
mapped drive, execute the .cmd file which spawns the other
process - this process takes the SecuRemote users computer name
and tries to send messages back using this name. The application
stalls because it cannot find the computer name on the network.

Question:
How can I setup this situation so the application resolves the SecuRemote's
machine name back to an IP (and then have that IP route to the
dynamic IP of the current SecuRemote session) ??

I assume is this will have
some NAT rules, perhaps an entry into HOSTS file with a static internal IP,
and then a route to the SR users IP - but I am lost.

I would like to accomplish this without actually make a SecuRemote user
log into the NT Domain - but will take any solution ;-)

thanks for any insight

regards
