I'm having an issue where FW-1 is running on a Solaris machine, and when I try
to telnet to the machine from an AIX 4.3.2 machine the connection is
automatically ended by the Solaris machine. (telnet telnetproxy) I'm certain
that this is not a Solaris/AIX communication issue because I can connect between
the AIX machine and another sun machine without FW-1 fine. When I telnet to the
Solaris machine with FW-1 and specify port 23 the connection works fine. (telnet
telnetproxy 23) Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know if there is a
fix on either the AIX or FW-1 side for this issue? I have looked just about
everywhere and come up empty. BTW, I am not ruling out a problem with AIX telent
either since the FTP proxy portion works and this problem is associated with all
our AIX machines.
