Patrick,

I am new to Data Security, Checkpoint, etc. My former background has been
in technology training, business process consulting, etc.

What concerns me is the continual plea for *quality training materials*,
from Checkpoint or anyone in this vertical who deals with this product.

I personally have looked, via the web and what I have found, like mostly
everyone else, is less than encouraging. I sat down to a new position which
has FW-1 already installed - so I have a copy of the LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL
MANUALS. For a product that is so widely used, not encouraging. I could go
into a litany of complaints, but I won't - since you are on this list, you
seen most of them and they are valid - even your reply today. Feature rich,
dynamic industry, etc. be darned.

The first manual, your CCSA, in my opinion also, is geared for the
marketing/sales person. And I am not a techie by any means. Not much meat
my man.

As I plan to attend MY first class on your product (cause we are moving to
4.1), I dread the course. The attitude we all are getting from your company
is that since you own the market (ahh, net sales, wot?), let them suffer.

There have been consistent complaints with specific examples, and this is
the only response you can give?

You know, there is another old saying - 'everybody ain't wrong'.
