I might be a little slow this morning, so I'm
not sure of your setup?
Are you saying one box is just a fw module and
the other is a fw modules and fw manager?
As I understand your setup...
The answer to your first question is yes. If the
fw modules cannot 'talk' to the fw manager, it
will log locally.
For your second question, when a fw module
comes up, it will attempt to load the
policy from the the fw manager. If the
fw manager is not available for what-ever
reason, then the fw module will attempt to
load the last known policy it had.
