Usually turning off http 1.1 on your browser will solve this. Also, be sure
you are running VPN/Firewall1 4.1 SP1.. Youll get dramatically better
results with 4.1 SP1 when using security servers.

Subject: [FW1] eSafe v2.1/99 HTTP scrubbing Problems
Hi All,
Help!
I have recently enabled HTTP java/ActiveX scrubbing on
my eSafe AV/CVP server. Results are not satisfactory,
I am sad to say.
Users are not able to visit many WWW sites. They get
MSIE's "This page cannot be displayed" error with
popular sites (e.g., www.download.com). When I disable
the HTTP rule, everything works just fine. I also have
complaints about downloading problems if scrubbing is
enabled.
I have been using eSafe to scan FTP and SMTP for a
year -- and that appears to work fine.
My config:
FW1 4.0 SP5 on Solaris 2.6, SUN Ultra1 320MB RAM
eSafe v2.1/build 99 on seperate NT4.0 (SP5) box (also
running Websense 3.11 on this box)
My esafe box runs on 100Mbs/FDX on a switch with our
FW. It would appear that all networking and hardware
is not an issue.
In setting this up, the eSafe manuals "say" one thing,
but their screen shots of the configuration with FW1
"show" something else. Any one else notice this?
If any of you have this working, I'd be very
interested in sharing notes with you.
Thanks in Advance!
-- Chris
