I just got an invitation to a seminar in my area about this exact issue.
ISS is sponsoring it, and it is supposed to address the specific issue of
high-bandwidth intrusion detection. Check with your local ISS rep. to see
if they have anything planned in your area.

Subject: [FW1] CP realsecure engines
I need to spec some realsecure engines, and ISS really gives you no
indication of what is required.
the networks are all 100 full duplex. bandwidth utilization is 10-30%
our engine profile is attack detector, nothing too complex.
My feeling is that a PIII 500-600 with 128 or 256MB will be plenty, but
frankly i just don't know.
Anybody with realsecure experience here care to share?
