There are *definitely* a few gotchas.  I just went through this last
Sunday.  Firstly, a 3DES management console does NOT like talking to
non-3DES firewall modules.  So, if you have non-3DES firewalls that you
manage with this console, I would highly recommend upgrading them as
well.  

Second gotcha is backups.  Be SURE you back up everything prior to the
upgrade - especially the /etc/fw/conf directory (of you're running this
on UNIX).  Also be aware that the standard release of 3DES 4.0 ships
with SP1 already installed.  So you'll probably need to apply the newest
Service Pack after the upgrade as well - this is especially important if
you do have remote firewall modules that are already patched to a higher
SP than 1.  Hope this helps....
