Thanks, but comma however.....
I've verified all comments / names / colors in the policy. Still it
won't load. I'm to the point of either shutdown and re-start FW or
blow away the policy and start from scratch. (Only 11 rules, 20 or so
objects, no NAT).
I keep on 'keepping on'.

My guess is that you have an illegal character in a comment somewhere
that FireWall-1 missed during the compilation phase. I've seen
similiar errors in the past that come from this. Stick to alphanumeric
characters US ASCII, don't use semi-colons, etc.

When I try to load the policy I get the following response:
