After upgrading FW-1 4.0 to 4.0 SP5, I got a number of errors upon
compilation of the security policy, referring to base.def and auth.def,
complaining that a bunch of things were undefined. I searched the archives
and found an almost identical problem -- titled "FW: Solstice 3.0 -
Checkpoint 4.0 Compile Errors ...Problem Solv" dated 19 Oct 1999. From that

What I did was edit the file $FWDIR/lib/base.def.
The line that says : TRAP_TO(pmap_fetch, PMAP_FETCH,
PMAP_CONNECT_TIMEOUT,hold, 0
I change it to say PMAP_FETCH, PMAP_CONNECT_TIMEOUT,hold, 0

I did the same thing, and it worked. Sure, that's all fine and dandy... but
WHAT DID I DO? Help?
