We are currently running Windows NT 4.0 Server (SP5) with CheckPoint FW-1 4.0.
We idenitifed a problem whereby connectivity to an external source had been
lost. What we identified was that one of the static routes that provide the path
to this external source was no longer there. We know it had not been removed by
anyone. These static routes were put in using the route.exe using -p to make it
persistent command. So therefore we re-enter the static route and everything
worked fine. All the static routes were put in around 5 months ago. Our concern
is will it happen again? Has anyone comes across problem before? If so, how do
we prevent it?

Kind Regards,

Elvio Serrao
