I have recently upgraded our firewall to Checkpoint 4.1 with SP1 (Checkpoint 2000), and when I execute the following command fw ver -k I get the following response: This is Check Point VPN-1(TM) & FireWall-1(R) Version 4.1 Build 41489 [VPN + DE] kernel: Version 4.1 [VPN + DES + STRONG] Build 41487 According to checkpoint, and the release notes both the Kernel and Module versions should be the same 41489. I was told by checkpoint that this was the beta kernel module running with the released module. I encountered this discrepancey when troubleshooting an issue, and I was unable to perform the following command fw ctl pstat this command queries the kernel for statistics.
