We have established VPN tunnel between PIX-5.1(1) and Checkpoint
4.1. But there is one
problem that the tunnel gets established only from one side.
(Checkpoint side). However
if its a cisco router (ver 12.x) then the tunnel is smooth from both
ends.

I've successfully created and are currently maintaining VPN's
between Cisco Routers and my CP FW's. I haven't tried setting up
a VPN with a PIX, but it can be done using IKE and preshared
secrets. If you hit the CP site, there is a kb document which might
