Steve,

That is a limitation.  This is probably due to the fact that once you put a
space in your passWORD, you now have a passPHRASE (which was not the
intention of the FW-1 Administrators authentication by default...)  The
password can't be longer than 8 characters either (or it will simply
truncate anything after 8) on 4.0, dunno about 4.1 .  Hope this helps.
