An "Undocumented Feature" of Microsoft NT 4.0 SP 6 (and 6a, which I presume
you are installing) is that you MUST install SP6 on all servers and NT
Workstations for them to work together.
I.e., install SP6 on your FTP server and it should work.

Hope this fixes it for you

All,

Hello. Has anyone out there experienced this quirk ?? I had to upgrade
a NT server tosp 5 and Firewall-1 sp 6 to resolve a disappearing password
issue for VPN users. Now it seems that something has changed on the
system. No changes to the security policy have been made. But the
Checkpoint SecureFTP service will not pass traffic to an internal server.
I can actually FTP in to the SecureFTP service, it accepts the usernames
and progresses to the passwords section. Here I getthe "Connection
refused by firewall"message. The passwords are correct, I have verified
this several times. InternallyI can FTP to my server, but from a command
prompt on the firewall "NO DICE." Any ideas ? I can ping and trace route,
so it seems that the box itself is stopping the connection. But I do not
have anything specifically set up to do this .Thanks...

Lost. Tired. Grumpy....
