John,
NDS8 - as in Novell Directory Services v8? Take a look
at www.novell.com (their newly - facelifted website) and
poke around. You should find lots of e-directory
information(that's what NDS is called now).
As for the client-auth, sounds like you didn't quite get
the config right. We'll need more information. Can you
tell us how the rule(s), objects are defined?
