Does anyone know if FW-1's (any version) SMTP Security server supports RFC 2554? This is the SMTP AUTH command, which is used by Microsoft Exchange to authenticate clients. This allows restricting relays to authenticated users. Without such a mechanism, you must either allow everyone to relay (a bad thing) or just close it all (equally bad since we have SMTP clients connecting from the internet). The only other workaround is to just pass SMTP traffic to our mail server, but this leaves the server vulnerable to malformed command attacks and similar problems. Thanks!
