Hello all,
I have problem with sending e-mail from our internal network to certain
e-mail addresses. We have FW-1 version 3.01b on NT4.0 patch 5 and use MS
DNS. If I look at DNS catch, I see this entry:
ns A 38.249.226.1
I try to send an e-mail, I receive error message saying hostname not found.
If I clear the NDS cache and try to send e-mail again RIGHT AWAY, it works.
When I check the DNS cache again right after successful send, I see the 3
entries as followed:
lifeguard NS ftfwlhq01.lifeguard.com.
ns A 38.249.226.1
www A 38.249.226.2
If I don't communicate with lifeguard through e-mail for about 4 hours and
try to send another e-mail to lifeguard, it would stops working. When I
check the cache again, I lose the first and the third cache andI only see
the one line that I see above:
ns A 38.249.226.1
I am just wondering if there is something wrong with my DNS? Thank you,
Travis
