One idea: set your point that you (read: all persons involved in setting up and
maintaining the FW) have to have completed Cisco training (CCNP + MCNS + Pix
workshop) in company expenses prior to any switch - else no support will be
possible, so the company is running risk of loosing the network connection.

Effect #1: delay of implementation
Effect #2: higher cost
Effect #3: you get the chance to improve your skills and certifications
