;-) Hi
it seems to me that only the management server is running correctly
is the Fw-module in sync with your manager
license??? or fw-module not correctly installed on the remote-box
see at your FW -object
you can test this by opening in the gui-client file----open----standard
and there you must find the status off your remote module
hope this helps
kind regards

Subject: [FW1] New FW1-2000 Setup
Hi! I have searched at www.phoneboy.com and didn't find any type of an
answer so I appeal to the FW1 Gods for
some help. :o) I have a Sun Solaris 2.7 box that is running FW1 2000. I have
a T1 connection to the location where our servers are being hosted and am
going to be doing rulebase changes/additions from our office and my
workstation. I installed the Policy editor and was able to connect to the
firewall, but when I tried to install a simple any -> any - > DROP rule I
got the following reply:
Firewall-1 Version 4.0 must be installed on your system if you want
to install a policy on a non-4.1 Firewall-1 agent.
I talked to the Tech that is helping me install the firewall and he said
that I needed to install the Management Server on my workstation. I don't
think this is correct, it still gave the same error anyway. I hope that I
have given enough info on the setup for someone to help me with this. This
is my first project dealing with Firewalls and so far it has been
interesting......
